Mindy S. Gil, DMD, DMSc, D-ABDSM

Precision periodontal care grounded in systemic health—because long-term stability starts below the surface.

Dr. Mindy Gil is a board-certified periodontist through the American Board of Periodontology (ABP) and a Diplomate of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM), providing comprehensive periodontal and airway-aware care in Newnan, Georgia.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from Johns Hopkins University before completing her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She continued her advanced training at Harvard, earning a specialty certificate in periodontology along with a Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) in Oral Biology.

Dr. Gil received extensive training in preserving the supporting structures of teeth and in reconstructive dentistry, with a particular emphasis on the biological and esthetic aspects of implant dentistry. Her clinical philosophy centers on the preservation of health and prevention of disease, grounded in the connection between oral health and overall systemic wellness.

While practicing at the forefront of periodontology, Dr. Gil recognized that the oral cavity often reveals early signs of systemic and airway-related conditions. This insight allows her to take a more comprehensive approach to diagnosis and treatment, ensuring that periodontal health is supported by overall physiologic stability.

She is committed to delivering precise, high-quality surgical and non-surgical care while collaborating with interdisciplinary providers when appropriate.

Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband Kevin and their three children, Daniel, Claire, and Zachary.

Best dental experience I have ever had! Dr. Gil and Miss Cindy always make me feel welcome and special, like I am their only patient. And they are always caring, listen to my concerns and have helped me save some teeth. And Stephanie and the rest of the staff up front are great too. Can’t recommend them enough!
